MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has released the June 2026 Penology Officer Exam (POE) results Thursday, July 16, 2026, within calendar days after the exam.

The commission said that a total of 10,812 examinees took the POE across 16 regions nationwide last June 7, 2026.

Target Release of Results

The List of Passers of the June 2026 Penology Officer Exam (POEwill be available through this website or via the official website of the the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on July 16, 2026.

CSC encourages examinees to directly coordinate with the CSC Regional Office for other concerns like verification of examinee number and further examination result-related matters.

Verification of Rating (OCSERGS)

Examinees, both passed and failed, can generate their individual test result using the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS) by 27 July 2026. Please note that no report of rating shall be mailed to individual examinees.

To ensure that the enhanced OCSERGS is accessed, use the main, official CSC Website www.csc.gov.ph | Quick Links | OCSERGS.

Examinees are advised to be ready with their Examinee Number as it will be required in accessing their individual rating. Moreover, examinees should encode/fill in the required data in the corresponding data fields under the personal information, and the details of examination (i.e., date, type, and place of examination) accurately, following the illustrated/indicated format therein.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Test results, including the exact values of the ratings, released by the CSC are FINAL AND IRREVERSIBLE. The CSC does not implement re-checking of test results in all types of civil service examinations nor does it apply any mathematical rounding of decimal value on test results/ratings.

Certificate of Eligibility For Passers

A. LETTERHEAD COE

Passers/Eligibles may request for a CoE printed on CSC official letterhead by 19 August 2026. The letterhead CoE is issued FREE of charge by the concerned CSC Regional/Field Office where the examination was taken.

a1. Issuance and Claiming of Letterhead CoE

Notwithstanding the given date above, passers are strongly advised to verify first if their letterhead CoE is already available for claiming before going to the CSC Regional/Field Office.

Passers should personally claim their CoE, presenting the following items:

(i) (i) I.D. card (original³) – preferably the same I.D. card presented during the filing of application. In case of loss or unavailability, the examinee must present any of the other accepted I.D. cards for civil service examination (refer to attached list), which is valid, i.e., not expired.

(ii) Application receipt and/or CSC Official Receipt (only if available).

Note: The CSC Regional/Field Offices may require additional document/s as may be necessary to establish the identity of the passers.

a2. Claiming of Letterhead CoE at Conduit CSC RO/FO

In case of passers who have moved to or are based in another region, or in remote areas within the region, they may personally claim their letterhead CoE at the CSC Regional or Field Office (serving as conduit CSC RO/FO) nearest their present place of residence or work.

(i) For those who have moved to or are based in another region, a written request, citing reason/s thereof, must be sent to the authorized CSC RO (with jurisdiction over the testing center/venue where they took the examination) via e-mail to forward their CoE to the conduit CSC Regional/Field Office where they would like to claim the same.

(ii) (ii) For those in remote areas within the region, a written request must be sent to the CSC RO to forward their CoE to the CSC Field Office where they would like to claim the same.

B. SECURITY PAPER COE

Apart from the letterhead CoE, passers may also opt to apply for CoE printed on security paper with fee (Note: Applying for security paper CoE has a separate set of requirements and procedures. Please verify with the CSC RO, or secure the requirements from the CSC Website).

The security paper CoE and its authenticated copy/ies may be applied for and obtained from any of the 16 CSC ROs nationwide, regardless of the place of examination, also by 19 August 2026. Relatedly, passers are advised to verify first the availability of the service (i.e., issuance of security paper CoE) before going to the CSC RO. They can communicate on this matter with the CSC RO concerned through the RO’s contact details available at the CSC website.

Passing Grade

The Penology Officer Examination has 160 items, 150 for test proper while 10 items for Examinee Descriptive Questions (EDQ), pertaining to personal data of examinees. The exams will start from 8:00 A.M. to 11:05 AM or 3 hours and 5 minutes. The examinee shall obtain 80.00% general rating to pass the examination.

Penology Officer Eligibility

The civil service eligibility resulting from passing the Penology Officer Examination shall be called Penology Officer Eligibility. It is a second level eligibility, which is specific and appropriate for appointment to second level ranks under the uniformed service in the jail management and penology, and functionally related services only, except for ranks under the Philippine National Police. The Penology Officer Eligibility is NOT comparable to the Career Service Professional of Subprofessional Eligibility.
