Online Registration Process
The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) shall open the NAPOLCOM Online Scheduling System (NOSS) on March 3, 2025 (at exactly 12:00 noon) for the nationwide conduct of the PNP Entrance (PNPE) Examination and PNP Promotional Examination.
All applicants should register to the NAPOLCOM Online Scheduling System prior to the processing of his/her application by following the procedures below:
- Go to NAPOLCOM website napolcom.gov.ph;
- Click the NAPOLCOM Online Scheduling System link;
- Fill out the required data and review the same;
- Upload the following:
- For civilian applicant: One (1) valid government-issued I.D. with applicant’s date of birth (National, Passport, Postal, Driver’s License, etc.);
- For PNP member: PNP ID; and
- Receive a Notice indicating the date of the on-site processing of his/her application at the Regional Office concerned and have the same screened shot/printed.
An applicant with a confirmed processing schedule should proceed to the Regional Office from March 4 to 28, 2025 for the processing of his/her application, including the filling out of the Examination Application Form and Index Card (to be provided by the Regional Office).
What are the Requirements?
1. PNP Entrance Exam (Civilian)
- Notice generated after registering online (printed or electronic copy);
- Two (2) colored recent passport size photo (in white shirt and white background) with name tag (first, middle, and last names);
- One (1) valid government-issued ID with applicant’s date of birth (National, Passport, Postal, Driver’s License, etc.);
- Photocopy (present the original) or Certified Xerox Copy of ANY of the following:

- Transcript of Records,
- Diploma,
- Certificate of Graduation;
- One (1) legal-size envelope with Twenty-One Pesos (PhP21.00) worth of mailing stamp; and,
- Exam Fee: Four Hundred Pesos (PhP400.00).
2. PNP Entrance Exam (Patrolman/Patrolwoman with Temporary Status of Appointment)
- Notice generated after registering online (printed or electronic copy);
- Two (2) colored recent passport size photo (in PNP uniform with white background) with name tag (rank, first, middle, and last names);
- PNP ID;
- One (1) legal-size envelope with Twenty-One Pesos (PhP21.00) worth of mailing stamp; and,
- Exam Fee: Four Hundred Pesos (PhP400.00).
3. PNP Promotional Exam (PO4th, PO3rd, PO2nd and PO1st Class)
- Notice generated after registering online (printed or electronic copy);
- Two (2) colored recent passport size photo (in PNP uniform with white background) with name tag (rank, first, middle, and last names);
- PNP ID;
- One (1) legal-size envelope with Twenty-One Pesos (PhP21.00) worth of mailing stamp; and,
- Examination Fee:
- PO 4th Class – Four Hundred Pesos (PhP400.00);
- PO 3rd Class – Four Hundred Fifty Pesos (PhP450.00);
- PO 2nd Class – Five Hundred Pesos (PhP500.00);
- PO 1st Class – Six Hundred Pesos (PhP600.00).

- Filipino Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree holder
- Not more than 30 years old
- Must be at least one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57m) in height for males and one meter and fifty-two centimeters (1.52m) for females
- For PNP Promotional Examinations
- Patrolman/Patrolwoman with a temporary appointment due to lack of appropriate eligibility
Entrance Exam & Promotional Exam
The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Examination is the the exam administered by NAPOLCOM in the Philippines for individuals who wish to join the Philippine National Police (PNP) or for those already in the service who seek promotion. The NAPOLCOM Exam consists of two types: PNP Entrance Exam (PNPE) and the PNP Promotional Exam (PROMEX).
The Entrance Exam is for those who aspire to become police officers and have not yet joined the PNP. PNPE tests the applicants’ abilities in language skills, logical reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and general knowledge. Meanwhile, PROMEX is for active members of the PNP who want to advance their career to a higher rank. It measures their knowledge, skills, and competence in the duties and responsibilities of their current rank and the rank they are aiming for.

New PNP Entrance & Promotional Exams’ Titles
Beginning March 2019, NAPOLCOM has utilized the new examination titles for all examination categories. This is in pursuant to R.A 11200 or “An Act Providing for the Rank Classification in the Philippine National Police, amending for the purpose Section 28 of Republic act No. 6975, as amended, otherwise known as the Department of the Interior and Local Government Act of 1990”. This aims to modify the PNP rank classification as well as standardize how police officers are addressed.

NAPOLCOM Eligibility
The eligibility conferred upon passing the PNP Entrance Exam is one of the requirements for appointment in the Philippine National Police (PNP) as a Patrolman/Patrolwoman, while passing the corresponding promotional examination (PromEx) is a requirement for promotion to a higher rank.
The Promotional Exams are open exclusively to all qualified uniformed members of the PNP who meet the minimum qualification standards for examination in terms of rank and eligibility.
